Biographical Note

Benjamin Warren Levalley was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on September 10, 1836. Levalley was appointed a Sergeant from Hartford in Company H of the 22nd Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry on August 27 and was mustered in on September 20, 1862. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on November 17, 1862. Benjamin mustered out of service on July 7, 1863. He worked for 22 years at the Pratt & Whitney Company retiring as head of the Piping Department in December 1896. In 1895-1896 he spent time with his cousin Joanna Remington recording gravestones of the Fenner family at the Remington farm in Rhode Island. Benjamin Warren Levalley died on June 11, 1911, in Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 74.

Genealogy

Warren D. Welch is the great great grandson of Mary Cook Levalley Lovell. Mary was Benjamin Warren Levalley's sister.
