Historical Note
In 1965, the General Assembly formed the Connecticut Tax Study Commission by Public Act 461 in order to study the property tax laws with respect to personal property of business. William F. Gwinn, President of United Aircraft Corp., was the chair of the nine-member commission, and John F. Tarrant of the Tax Department served as Executive Director and Counsel. The report was dated March 1, 1967.
